In New York
A contemporary tragicomedy from Valencia, Spain

The story
In October, ten people from Valencia will step onto a New York stage to perform their show «No nos merecemos soñar».
Where we come from
Los Teloneros, a collective born in the bars of Valencia. Theatre that observes, unsettles and doesn't ask permission.
Where we're going
Four performances at Teatro LATEA, Manhattan. Seventy-four seats. In Spanish, no subtitles, no safety net.
What we still need
We're paying for this trip ourselves. Flights, accommodation, rental, insurance. Every euro goes straight to the dream.
The Press Says
Los Teloneros confirm that Valencian theatre has a pulse of its own. «No nos merecemos soñar» is a necessary slap in the face, an uncomfortable mirror in which to see ourselves.
Rarely do humour and heartbreak coexist so naturally on stage. Centro Cultural Karaoke writes with a scalpel.
Rafael Ponce directs with a firm hand and a keen ear. The three performers sustain a text that shows no mercy, that won't let you blink.
If contemporary Spanish theatre is looking for a benchmark, here it is. No concessions, no trimmings, no fear.
A dramaturgy that fears neither silence nor ridicule. «No nos merecemos soñar» is a title that hurts more with every minute of the performance.
Los Teloneros have found their voice. An uncomfortable, necessary voice that deserves to be heard beyond Valencia.

Set of 4 Pins | Original artwork by Rafael Ponce
A set of 4 enamel metal pins, each featuring a distinct graphic piece by playwright and artist Rafael Ponce, created from the company's visual imagery. Four circular mini-canvases gathering fragments of text, drawings and the Los Teloneros logo: the roots notebook, the logo on white, the red manuscript and the colourful chaos of the veterinarian. Collect them, wear them on your jacket, backpack or lapel, and carry four pieces of the Los Teloneros universe with you. More than an accessory, it is a way to collect contemporary art and support independent theatre. Full set of 4 pins — single item, not sold separately.

Los Teloneros Totebag | Original artwork by Rafael Ponce
A canvas to carry the Los Teloneros universe with you. This natural cotton totebag features a graphic piece by playwright and artist Rafael Ponce, created from the company's visual imagery. On its surface coexist the company logo and a manuscript fragment, a poetic statement that turns an everyday bag into an object of contemporary art. Sturdy, spacious and with the honest feel of cotton, it is made to accompany you everywhere: parks, streets, theatres or wherever art takes you. More than an accessory, it is a way to wear and support independent theatrical creation, gifting a piece of the Los Teloneros imagery to whoever carries it.
